The Task officially concluded and presented their final report in Lisbon at the Executive Committee meeting in November 2011. Initially, the final report distribution is exclusively for IA-HEV members. In late spring 2012, The Task 12 final report will be made publicly available for download on the IA-HEV website. Additionally, task results have been presented at conferences like EVS-25.

Task members were VITO (Flemish Institute for Technological Research), Belgium; Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), Canada; Aalto University, Finland; HESS AG, Switzerland; NL Agency, the Netherlands; and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), United States.

Nine expert meetings were held from 2007–2010 on a variety of topics. This task ran smoothly under the coordination of the Operating Agent, Mr. Carlo Mol, VITO. The task also represented a public-private partnership through Switzerland’s appointment of Hess AG to serve as their official task representative. Members agreed that although the topic of heavy-duty hybrid vehicles remains very relevant, it would be wise to take a two-year break from the task. After further market developments, the topic may be revisited in the future.
