The Executive Committee,known as the ExCo,meets semiannually and each Contracting Party Member appoints a representative to serve on the ExCo who is responsible for the following duties:

  • Directs the establishment of new Tasks and the closing down of old ones.
  • Approves the work plans and budgets of the Tasks.
  • Formulates a strategy for the Implementing Agreement.
  • Decides policies and regulations for the Implementing Agreement as a whole.
  • Generally gives overall direction to the Agreement.
